Over the next 4-5 weeks, I will be investigating speckled cranberry beans planted at 4 different depths to determine the optimal growing depth. The 4 samples received the same type and amount of planting soil and they will also receive an identical amount of water. I determined the 4 different depths by using a ruler and a wooden dowel. The 4 depths at which the beans are planted are:
- The bottom of the cup
- 3/4 depth
- On top of the soil
I’ll be posting updates and photos as the weeks pass. My personal hypothesis is that the bean planted at 3/4 depth will grow the most over the next few weeks. Which depth do you think is ideal for speckled cranberry beans? We’ll find out!
