Interactive: A Short History of the High-Rise

The New York Times is known for its reporting. You can walk down virtually any urban street in the United States and find the daily NYT on the newsstands. There is a reason for that. The New York Times continues to reinvent the field of journalism: Their website is superb, they created a digital app before it was popular for newspapers to do so, and now they have begun to delve into creating interactive web stories. I came across this interactive feature on Twitter and found it to be extremely engaging. What I love most about this interactive project on the History of the High-Rise building is that it investigates a subject that most global citizens today have experience with: tall buildings. I also love the blend of background building video with interactive features to extend learning. I will be sure to keep an eye out for additional interactive projects from The New York Times in the future.
